Designed for containers and ready to use right out of the bag, Ocean Forest is pH adjusted at 6.3 to 6.8 to allow for optimum fertilizer uptake. There's no need for nitrogen fertilizers at first; instead, try an organic blend like FoxFarm Big Bloom Liquid Plant Food to encourage strong branching and a sturdy, healthy growth habit.

Garden tip: For best results, feed your plants with FoxFarm fertilizer products during growth and bloom seasons. The light, aerated texture of Ocean Forest is ideal for indoor and outdoor plants, making it the perfect choice for your container gardens.

When using Ocean Forest, fill the container with soil 1 inch (2.5 cm) below the top edge of the pot, then water thoroughly after planting. For houseplants, water thoroughly and feed with Grow Big Liquid Plant Food for best results.

For established container gardens, top dress with a 3-inch (7.5 cm) layer of potting soil around existing plants and carefully work it into the soil, then water thoroughly. When planting trees, shrubs, and roses, select a container 2-3 times the diameter of the plant's root mass and 3-6 inches (7.5-15 cm) deeper, place the root mass at the correct height, and fill the container, pressing firmly around the perimeter and watering thoroughly.
